Sign Up for a Cheese and Wine Class!

Yes, $100 Gets You 10 Cheeses, 3 Wines, and a Crash Course in Northern Italy — No Passport Required

By Georgette, Kitchen Table Travel

Let me paint you a picture.

It's a Saturday afternoon. You're sitting at a beautiful table at De Vine Wine Bar in Redwood City. In front of you: ten — yes, ten — artisan cheeses from Northern Italy, three pours of regional wine, fresh seasonal fruit, and handcrafted jams. Someone who has driven a mobile cheese shop to your neighborhood (that's me, Georgette) is explaining exactly why that particular wedge of aged cheese pairs so magnificently with that particular glass of wine.

You are living your best life. And it cost you $100.

What Even Is This Class?

On Saturday, April 25th from 3–5 PM, I'm teaming up with the lovely people at De Vine Wine Bar (2627 Broadway, Redwood City) to host an intimate Wine & Cheese Tasting Class — and the theme is Northern Italy.

Think: the rolling hills of Piedmont, the misty valleys of Lombardy, the aged rinds and mountain pastures that produce some of the most extraordinary cheeses and wines in the world. We're bringing all of that to Redwood City, no checked baggage fees required.

But What Do You Actually GET for $100?

I'm so glad you asked. Here's what your ticket includes:

  • 10 artisan cheeses — not a sad little cheese plate with three cubes and a cracker. Ten. Distinct. Cheeses. From Northern Italy. Each one chosen deliberately, each one delicious.

  • 3 regional wines — hand-selected to complement the cheeses in ways that will make you go "oh, that's why people do this."

  • Seasonal fruit & handcrafted jams — because the right pairing can make a good cheese transcend into something borderline life-changing.

  • Georgette. (This is where the value really is, if I do say so myself.)

Why Should You Trust Me With Your Cheese Education?

Fair question. Here's the thing: I run Kitchen Table Travel, a company built around the idea that food is the best way to travel — and I do it out of a mobile cheese shop. I have driven cheese to people's doorsteps. I have strong opinions about rinds. I can tell you the difference between a Grana Padano and a Parmigiano-Reggiano and why that difference matters deeply and personally to me.

In two hours, I will share everything I know about Northern Italian cheese — the history, the regions, the flavor profiles, the pairings. You will leave knowing things your friends don't know. You will be insufferable at dinner parties, in the best possible way.
