How do I know if I'm ready to buy a home in Italy?
As a non-Italian citizen, it is incredibly difficult to obtain a mortgage from an Italian bank. The simplest way to purchase a home is to be prepared to pay cash for the property. Our home-buying tours are designed for clients who have already raised the capital.
Why should I consider this opportunity?
Simply put, this is an incredible opportunity for a buyer to get through a process that is normally complicated and confusing with the help of two licensed Italian real estate attorneys. They will be with us, Kitchen Table Travel, on the tour to advise you and to help you understand how to protect your investment.
We will show you the beauty and charm the area has to offer to help you in your decision making.

The tour begins!
We'll start our day in Rome with a traditional Roman Market Food Tour where we will meet some vendors, learn about seasonal and local foods and do plenty of tasting too! Learn how food-savvy Italians get their groceries.
Afterwards, enjoy a bit of free time before we meet again at a wine studio for an evening of natural wines and cheese pairings.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we hit the road and make the scenic drive to Sabina in northern Lazio. We'll stop in the village of Poggio Catino for a bit of lunch. After, we'll head to Casperia to check into our rooms in a 15th century palazzo. We can do a little walking tour of the town and enjoy a break before meeting again for dinner.
We'll have breakfast at our Bed and Breakfast before getting to work. Today's itinerary includes a cooking class with two talented chefs, one classically trained and the other a famous sfoglina (pasta master) from the Pasta Grannies team.
Learn traditional techniques for putting together a classic Italian meal. We'll enjoy the lunch you've prepared followed by a well-deserved break.
We'll convene again in the late afternoon to meet up with Claudia Bortolani and Eleonora Cerin, our experienced Italian real estate lawyers of the international law firm Aliant Law for a real estate seminar which will provide you with some of the base knowledge on the acquisition process of a real estate property in Italy. Be ready with all of your questions to take advantage of their wealth of knowledge and expertise while enjoying the local aperitivos and snacks.
After a fabulous breakfast buffet at the B&B, you'll be off to visit properties with the assistance of our lawyers and some Italian real estate agents. It will be a busy but fun day! Afterwards, we'll meet up again to hear your voice and for a brainstorming session with our lawyers on the properties visited. Our lawyers will listen to your first impressions and add their experienced views so that you will have a good and productive recap of the day. Local aperitivos and snacks, followed by a juicy Italian dinner
Today, after a fantastic Italian breakfast made with local produce, it will be another great opportunity - with the assistance of our lawyers - for property viewing of different types of properties from what was seen the day before. At the end of the day be prepared to speak up and share your ideas and experiences with our lawyers who will be happy to hear your opinions and provide you with some guidance and to answer your legal questions. Local aperitivos and dinner to follow.
Today, if desired, you'll have the chance to get a second viewings of properties visited thus far. After breakfast, interested guests will head out for a second peek and follow-up with our lawyers. If anyone is not interested in a second viewing, we'll enjoy a tour and oil tasting at a local olive farm.
After, we'll do a short recap of these two intense days with our lawyers before dinner. For those who are interested in making an offer for a property, our lawyers will be available to provide all the legal assistance required to start the acquisition process.
We'll get out into nature today! After our breakfast we'll meet up with our nature guide for an excursion in the Sabina hills. Weather permitting we'll have a picnic after our walk.
After a bit of rest we'll meet again for our last dinner in Sabina where we can explore local wine culture and traditions with a paired dinner.
After our final fabulous breakfast at the B&B, we'll head back to Rome. In Rome you'll get a bit of time to relax before we embark on a walking food tour of Rome's famous Jewish Quarter.
